Unaccounted gold worth about Rs 5.50 crore was seized from a car and three persons were arrested from nearby Tiruthuraipoondi today, police said.
The gold hoarded in the car at different places such as under the seat was found when police intercepted the speeding vehicle and searched it, they said.
Police arrested the three occupants and seized the gold and the car.
