Gold worth Rs 93 lakh recovered from Air Arabia flight

Gold worth Rs 93 lakh has been recovered from the toilet of Air Arabia flight that arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here today.

The recovery was made during a random check conducted by the customs officials. "Unclaimed gold weighing 3.5 kgs has been recovered from the toilet of Air Arabia plane that had come from Sharjah. The gold has been seized," said Vinayak Azaad, Additional Commissioner of Customs IGI airport.

The value of the seized gold is about Rs 93 lakh, as per the prevailing market rate.

Further investigation in the case is continuing.
