A jeweller has accused a goldsmith of fleeing with 4 kg gold given to him to make jewellery in Nyayganj area here, police said today.
Jeweller Pankaj Arora lodged FIR yesterday against goldsmith Sabir Ali, hailing from West Bengal, and his two accomplices, saying he had given Ali the gold on August 1 to make ornaments, which he would hand over to Arora on August 8, police said.
When Arora reached Ali's house on August 8 to collect the ornaments, he found that the house was locked. Ali's neighbours told Arora that he had gone home for Eid.
