Director David Fincher's marital drama emerged as the box office winner by pulling in approximately USD 38 million in the first three days against horror film 'Annabelle'.

The Ben Affleck starrer, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel of the same name, was a success at the box office thanks to its female audience, reported Ace Showbiz.

Internationally, the film earned USD 24.6 million, bringing its worldwide collection to USD 62.6 million.

With a budget at just USD6.5 million, the horror flick was a great success for Warner Bros.
