Gone with the Wind: Inox Wind shares tank over 17%

Shares of wind power solutions provider Inox Wind plummeted over 17 per cent today after the company's consolidated net profit dipped 36 per cent in the quarter ended March 31.

The stock slumped 17.41 per cent to close at Rs 166.80 on BSE. Intra-day, it tumbled 19.53 per cent to Rs 162.50.

At NSE, shares of the company nosedived 17.33 per cent to end at Rs 166.65.

The company's market valuation declined by Rs 779.4 crore to Rs 3,701.60 crore.

In terms of volume, 11.55 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 52 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
 

Inox Wind's consolidated net profit dipped 36 per cent to Rs 127.54 crore in the quarter ended March 31.

The company's consolidated net profit was Rs 201.12 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, Inox Wind said in a BSE filing on Friday.

According to the statement, total income for the quarter was Rs 1,033.55 crore, down from Rs 1,858.03 crore in the year-ago period.
