People of Bihar will have to wait for another 48 hours to get respite from the humid weather prevailing in the state for past couple of days with the MeT department today predicting moderate to heavy rainfall for three days from August 7.
"There is a low pressure on Bay of Bengal, which led to less rainfall in the state... But, it is expected that there will be good rainfall for three days from Sunday," Patna Meteorological Department Director Ashish Sen told PTI.
Sen said south Bihar, which includes Patna, would witness more rainfall in comparison to northern parts of the state.

Gaya registered 8 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, while 4 mm of rainfall was recorded today, it said.
Bhagalpur recorded a maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius, while Patna recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius. Gaya and Purnea recorded maximum temperatures of 34.1 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius respectively, the MeT office said.
In its forecast for the next 24 hours, the MeT department said Patna was expected to have partly cloudy sky, while Gaya and Purnea were expected to witness partly cloudy skies with possibility of rain or thunder.
Bhagalpur would witness a generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder, it said.
