Filmmaker Vikas Bahl says he is quite comfortable with three Khans -- Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir -- blocking festive release dates as it helps small-budget movies.

"It's good that Khans are releasing films on festive periods. It's ok if they are blocking festive dates. It's good because it brings more money and helps small films," the producer told reporters here at the trailer launch of his film "Masaan".

Bahl's production house Phantom is producing "Masaan".

"We always try to make different kind of films. We like to experiment. We get attracted to doing new things. It is challenging," Vikas said.

Neeraj Ghaywan's directorial debut, "Masaan", had its first screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

"It was a great honour for us to be there. We are glad that we got lot of love and appreciation. We are hopeful that it will help us here," Neeraj said.

Neeraj feels there is an advantage and disadvantage of releasing a movie at the film festivals.

"The good part is you get to show the film to a new... wider audience, you get buyers, it creates buzz back home. The flip side is films released at festivals are seen as arty," Neeraj said.

The makers intend to release the film in 300 screens in India. The film is set to release on July 24 in India.
