A goods train derailed in Assam's Dima Hasao district Monday but there was no report of any casualty, N-F Railway officials said.
All trains in the Lumding-Silchar hill section have been cancelled till Tuesday due to the derailment, they said.
The goods train was going towards Silchar from Lumding when 20 wagons derailed between Daotuhaja and Phiding railway station in the district at around 9.30 am, the sources said adding there was no report of any casualty in the mishap.
Haflong Station Manager, Anil Sharma said a quick response team has been dispatched to the derailed site to take stock of the situation and execute necessary actions for running of trains.
The Kachanjunga Express has been held back at Phiding railway station and Guwahati-Silchar BG fast passenger express at New Haflong railway station, the sources said.
