Those visiting the Google homepage today will be welcomed by an animated doodle inviting women to share their dreams saying "one day I will".

Marking the International Women's Day, the search giant has come up with an animated video titled #OneDayIWill, which plays in the usual Doodle spot, showing a world of possibilities for women with daughters, mothers and grandmothers aspiring to own a restaurant, play professional baseball, see the rings of Saturn and enjoy motherhood.

"Over the years, Doodles have commemorated the achievements of women in science, civil rights, journalism, sports, arts, technology and beyond. It is always an honor to pay tribute to women who have changed the course of history, sometimes in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles," the Doodle team said in a blogpost.

"But for this year's International Women's Day, we wanted to celebrate the Doodle-worthy women of the future. The doodle team visited 13 countries and asked more than 300 women and girls to share their dreams by completing the sentence, 'One day I will...'," it added.

The one minute twenty six seconds-long video, has cameos from British anthropologist Jane Goodall sharing her hope to one day discuss the environment with the Pope, while Nobel Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai and activist Muzoon Almellehan express their wish to work fearlessly toward a future where every girl can go to school.

Other women featured in the video are speaking in their native tongue as animations appear around them, bringing their dreams to life.

March 8 marks International Women's Day when the achievements of women around the world and hardships they face are highlighted.
