Home design and decor platform Livspace today said former Facebook and Google hand Gokul Rajaram has invested an undisclosed amount in personal capacity in the company and will come on board as a special advisor.
Rajaram is currently product engineering lead at Square, a payments and small business solutions company.
In his role as special advisor, Gokul will work with Livspace on technology and product strategy across mobile, web and emerging platforms, Livspace said in a statement here.

In addition, he will offer guidance in areas like overall business and investment strategy.
Prior to this, Rajaram headed the advertisement product team at Facebook and was product management director for Google AdSense, where he developed software products for several small businesses around the world.
"For early stage companies, the calibre of the team is the single-biggest factor correlated with success," Rajaram said.
Livspace will seek his inputs across the board -- product and technology, talent acquisition and business guidance, said Anuj Srivastava, Chief Executive and Co-founder of Livspace.
The platform started business in December 2014. Within six months of its launch, Livspace has acquired two firms -- DezignUp and Dwll.In -- with an aim to create the "largest curated marketplace of interior designers", the company said.
