Google.Org and Google employees have committed USD 1 million to Goonj and Save the Children for their relief efforts in India and across South Asia.
In a company blog, Google Vice President (South East Asia and India) Rajan Anandan said millions of people have been affected by severe flooding and landslides across Bangladesh, India and Nepal.
At least 1,200 people are known to have died, and tens of thousands of houses, schools, and hospitals have been destroyed, leaving people in urgent need of support during and after flood waters recede, he noted.

Paisabazaar.Com and CASHe are together aiming at disbursing 35,000 loans by the end of 2017.

Info Edge invests Rs 8.66 cr in Canvera * Info Edge -- which runs online job portal Naukri.Com -- has invested Rs 8.66 crore in Canvera.
"Info Edge has invested Rs 86,666,530 in Canvera Digital Technologies through its wholly-owned subsidiary for a cash consideration," it said in a BSE filing.
Canvera offers digital printing solutions including IT- enabled design services, primarily relating to photobooks, calendars and prints.
This is a follow-up round of investment in Canvera. Canvera's turnover stood at Rs 48.89 crore in 2016-17.
The aggregate shareholding of Info Edge in Canvera would be 62.22 per cent on fully converted and diluted basis, the statement said.

Apart from a series A investment in QuezX, ABC Consultants has merged its online business unit - HeadHonchos - with the operations of QuezX, a company release said.
