Gorhe demands statement on errors in text books

Raising the issue of errors in the text books published by the Maharashtra board, a Shiv Sena legislator today demanded a statement from the government in the Legislative Council.

Among other things, Neelam Gorhe said, a wrong map of Arunachal Pradesh has been printed in one of the books, while the national anthem has the word 'Sindhu' instead of 'Sindh', and the word 'Ashish' is spelt as 'Asis'.

Recently, the Bombay High Court had lambasted the state government over errors in the anthem which appears in class 10th and class 12th text books.
