A 50-year-old government accountant allegedly committed suicide today by jumping from his office building here, police said.
Gulab Singh, who was a senior accountant at India's topmost audit institution Accountant General (AG) in Punjab, jumped from the office building in Sector 17-E here, they said.
It is yet to be ascertained from which floor did the deceased take the extreme step and the time of the action, police added.
The office employees found Singh lying in blood at the building's roadside in the morning. He died on the way to hospital, police said.
