Government college principal removed over graft charges

A government college principal has been removed from her post following graft allegations by the guardians here.

Ranjana Sahaya, Principal of Government Girls' Inter College was removed from her post yesterday for allegedly collecting Rs 250 per student in the name of 'Abhbhavak Sangh' and also siphoning of funds for dress distribution and furniture, an official release stated.

The allegations were made by the parents of the students, it said.

The District Magistrate has handed over the inquiry into to the issue to the ADM and directed the District Inspector Of Schools (DIOS) to take action against Sahaya.

Satish Chandra has been asked to fill in the post, till the inquiry is completed, the release added.
