Government officer arrested accepting bribe

Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Jalore District Supply Officer was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.35 lakhs.

The accused, identified Govind Singh, is alleged to have demanded the bribe from Dinesh Khandelwal to re-new the license of a petrol pump, a ACB spokesperson today said.

A trap was laid and the accused, with his two touts -- Shivnarayan and Kapooraram, was arrested red-handed from Jalore, the official said, adding that a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been lodged in this regard.
