Governor & CM congratulate Das, Borah & Sarma Baruah for

Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday congratulated Rima Das, Manju Borah and Bobby Sarma Baruah for winning Rajat Kamal awards in the National Film Awards for the year 2018.

In a statement the governor said that the directorial venture of the women directors is a clear indication of the states growing talents in film making.

Sonowal in a statement said the achievement of the trio (Das, Borah, Baruah) has made the people of Assam proud and will help to take the celluloid journey of the state altogether to a different height.

He also wished them all success in their future ventures.

 

Rima Das bagged the Rajat Kamal Award for her film Bulbul Can Sing which was declared as the best Assamese Film.

Manju Borah bagged Rajat Kamal for her venture In the land of Poison Women which bagged the Best Pangchenpa Film award.

Bobby Sarma Baruah film the "Missing" received the Rajat Kamal award for the best Sherdukpan Film in the same language category.
