West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today wished the people of the eve of the Rathayatra festival starting tomorrow.
"I wish the people a very happy Rathayatra. It's a traditional festival and I hope that it brings in joy and prosperity for everybody," Banerjee today said at the state secretariat.
State Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi also conveyed his greetings to the people on this occasion.
"My best wishes for the well-being of the people of the state on this occasion," the Governor's message, released from his official residence at Raj Bhawan, said.
The Chief Minister will flag off the 47th ISKCON Rathyatra tomorrow.
The 'Ultarathayatra' will start on July 22 noon, when the 'raths' will return to the Albert Road temple.
