With Uttarakhand under President's rule, Governor K K Paul today directed officials that all decisions be taken with focus on public welfare.
A transparent, efficient and honest way of working should be adopted and the quality and timeliness of work must be ensured, a Raj Bhawan release quoting the Governor said.
"We must work as a team for public service," he said.

After the imposition of President's rule in the state yesterday, the Governor was at the secretariat today, where he held a meeting with senior officials to give necessary directions.
He said that Uttarakhand has had a tradition of peace and harmony and to ensure that it was preserved, law and order would have to be maintained.
Soon Chardham Yatra would start in the state which will bring lakhs of people from all over the country and the world to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
Special focus was required to have an organised and smooth yatra.
Whatever work has to be done in this regard should be completed in time, he said.
He said necessary steps should also be taken to ensure adequate supply of potable water in the state keeping in mind the summer season.
The Governor sought information from the officials regarding their respective departments.
He said that the suggestions they considered suitable for improving the working of their departments may be presented to him in writing.
He said that every decision should be taken while giving priority to public good.
He said plans and schemes should be visible on the ground so that people can sustain their confidence in the administration.
People should be able to feel that the governance was transparent, honest and efficient.
Present at the meeting were chief secretary, additional chief secretary, principal secretaries of all departments, secretaries, and OSD and secretary to the Governor.
