Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat today expressed concern over "poor" facilities at Balasundari temple at Trilokpur and asked the administration to prepare a master plan to improve the situation.

The Governor who visited the temple directed the members of Balasundari Temple Trust and district administration to provide basic facilities to the pilgrims.

The Governor took serious note of inadequate facilities at the temple, visited by lakhs of devotees and tourists and said that inspite of its popularity as a center of faith, it lacked facilities like permanent toilets, bath rooms, parking etc.

He directed the Deputy Commissioner V C Badalia to start the process immediately and prepare a master plan to ensure proper facilities to the devotees.

"Warning that no laxity in this regard would be tolerated as people of the state as well as people of neighbouring states have faith in this religious place and it was our duty to utilise the offerings made by the pilgrims honestly for the development of the area," he said.

He said that beautification work should also be drawn immediately and asked the district administration to complete all formalities for the expansion of temple premises.
