Actor Govinda plans to buy agricultural land in Mohanlalganj on the outskirts of the Uttar Pradesh capital.
The land originally belonged to the 1980s Mumbai smuggler Haji Mastan. He had donated the land to a local villager, who now runs a poultry farm there.
A local property dealer brokering the purchase has approached district officials for registry of the land in Ranikheda village.
