Govt appoints committee to study issues being faced by women in cinema

Kerala Government today appointed a three-member committee, headed by a former Kerala High Court judge, to study various issues being faced by women working in cinema.

The decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Justice Hema will head the committee, in which Popular actress of yesteryears Sharada and retired IAS officer K B RPT B Valsalakumari are members, a government press release said.

The committee will look into problems being faced by women in cinema and their working atmosphere,the release said.

The Cabinet also decided to give Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue), P H Kurian, additional charge of Ports.
 

PWD Principal Secretary Dr Asha Thomas has been appointed as Road and Bridges Managing Director.

Biju Prabhakar has been appointed Special secretary PWD department.
