The Orissa High Court today asked the state government to file a counter affidavit on a PIL alleging inaction by the administration in constructing 'anganwadi' buildings.
Taking up the petition filed by social activist Pradeep Pradhan, a division bench of Justices Pradeep K. Mohanty and Biswajit Mohanty asked the government to file its counter affidavit within a month.
Pradhan in his petition maintained that due to inaction by the state government, a major national programme that addressed the health and nutrition needs of children below six years had suffered a setback.
