On the World Consumer Rights Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the government is at the forefront of ensuring protection of the rights of the consumers and resolution of their grievances.
He also used the occasion to urge the consumers to embrace digital transactions and join the movement to end corruption and black money.
"On World Consumer Rights Day, we salute the consumer, on whose purchasing power the growth of our economy rests," Modi tweeted.
"Government of India is at the forefront of several initiatives that protect the rights of the consumer & ensure their grievances are solved," he added.
