Govt committed to provide hassle-free services to people: Min

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it has taken concerted steps to provide hassle-free services to people and cut delays in the delivery system.

"To make officials accessible and get prompt response from their side, form the important part of the reforms that would gradually unfold in the scheme of the things," state minister for Revenue Javaid Mustafa Mir said.

"The government is committed to providing hassle-free services to the people and cut delays in delivery system," he added.

The Minister was addressing over 100 delegates from 20 blocks of Jammu district. The delegates included Panchayat representatives, community representatives, social activists and individuals.
 

District Development Commissioner, Jammu Simrandeep Singh, senior functionaries of district administration and Tehsildars of all Tehsils of the district were present at the meeting.

Responding to the issues and grievances raised by the delegates, the Minister said that the government has started various initiatives to bring a discernible change in the system.

"In this process may be several heads will roll, but upright and committed officers and officials would receive all praise.

"Our motive is to provide relief to the commoners and ensure that people get their work done in one or two visits and are not forced to come again and again for petty issues," he said.
