The government has deferred software services firm Wipro's proposal for setting up an IT special economic zone (SEZ) in Kolkata.
The proposal has been deferred because the state government's recommendation on it has not been received by the Board of Approval (BoA), an official said.
The software company's application among others was considered by the inter-ministerial body BoA, headed by Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia, in its meeting on June 22.
