Kerala Government Medical Officers Association said in a release here that the Minister had assured them their grievances would be heard and issues raised by them solved.

The KGMOA had called for the non-cooperation strike to protest against the transfer of doctors at government hospitals in Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram following the death of Satnam Singh on August 4 at the mental hospital here.

A panel of experts appointed by the health department had found that the doctors had committed lapses during the treatment of Satnam Singh, who was arrested after he tried to barge onto the podium of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi at her Ashram in Kollam district.
