The Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today arrested an employee of a government hospital here for allegedly taking a bribe from a retiree for settling his pension case.

Syed Altaf Hussain Bukhari, who recently retired as chief technologist, lodged a written complaint with the SVO, alleging that a senior assistant at Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital was demanding bribe to settle his pension case.

The SVO sleuths laid a trap and caught senior assistant Ashiq Hussain red-handed, a spokesman of the anti-corruption organisation said.
