An employee of the school and mass education department was suspended today for violating Model Code of Conduct by campaigning for the BJD candidate in Aul area of the district, official sources said.
The accused employee Gyanedra Samal, a junior clerk of the government-run Janata High School in Palimi village under Aul police station jurisdiction, faced charge of canvassing for the ruling party.
The allegations were probed by the district education officer. As the authorities found corroborative evidence against Samal, he was suspended for violating MCC, said Ratnakar Rout, the Kendrapara collector.
Three more government employees are facing similar charge of violation of MCC. Probe has been ordered to ascertain the veracity of the allegations leveled against them and if found guilty, they would also be placed under suspension, the district magistrate added.
