Independent candidate from North Goa Lok Sabha constituency, Dayanand Narvekar, today accused the Manohar Parrikar-led BJP government of failing to provide relief to the people affected due to closure of mining industry in the State.
"Parrikar has failed to give solace to the people affected by the closure of mining industry," said Narvekar, a former minister.
His outfit, Goa Democratic Front (GDF), had resolved to recover money "looted" by the mine owners and give it back to the people, he said.
