Govt giving top priority to find out PCC chief, son: RPN Singh

Government is giving top priority to find out chief of Chhattisgarh Congress Nand Kumar Patel and his son suspected to be kidnapped by the Maoists after an attack on a convoy of party leaders inside a dense forest in the state.

"Our top priority now is to find out the missing PCC chief and his son," Minister of State for Home R P N Singh told PTI tonight.

Singh, who will visit Chhattisgarh tomorrow to asses the situation there following today's deadly attack, said government will make every efforts to provide security to political workers in the state.

Meanwhile, official sources said the Home Ministry officials have briefed Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who is abroad, about the Maoists attack on Congress workers in Chhattisgarh.
