The government is in favour of the Majithia wage board for journalists and newspaper employees and has already impleaded favouring its implementation in the Supreme Court, but the managements are opposed to it, Minister of State for Labour Kodikunnil Suresh said today.
"The government is in favour of journalists community and have already impleaded in the case (in Apex Court) as we want an expeditious decision in the case. Owners are objecting to the implementation" he told reporters here.
"Employers are not cooperating," he said, when asked if there could be an out of court settlement.
