Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today termed as serious, the matter that state government is "not taking note" of the recommendations of state Lokayukta concerning some former ministers and bureaucrats.
"This is a serious matter in itself that the government is not taking note of the reports sent by the Lokayukta ", Naik told reporters here.
Naik had on April 27 shot off a fresh letter to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav seeking clarification on Lokayukta's special reports in 23 cases concerning former BSP ministers and government officials pending before the state government.

"Corruption whether that in the country or abroad, is like cancer for society and needs to be actively eradicated", he said.
