A 40-year-old government officer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling of his room at Gyanpur area here, police said today.
Avinash Dubey, posted as malaria inspector, committed suicide yesterday in the government accommodation, behind Chief Medical Officer's office, where he lived alone, SHO Gyanpur, Naveen Tiwari said.
Family dispute was stated as the reason behind his extreme step.
