Senior Congress leader Ajoy Kumar today questioned the BJP-led governments "seriousness" about national security after four army personnel, including an officer, were killed in a cross-border firing in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

Three hundred and ten army jawans and officers "martyred" and 204 civilians have been killed in cross-border firing by Pakistani troops and 1700 violation of ceasefire took place since BJP-government came to power, the AICC spokesman claimed while referring the recent incident in Rajouri district of the valley on Sunday.

The Prime Minister and Home Minister have been assuring people of the country about national security being in safe hand but our jawans were being continuously killed in the cross-border firing, Kumar, who is also the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president said at a press conference here.

He alleged that the directionless governments national security policy seemed to have limited to media and TV channel.
