Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said his government's priority is to provide clean drinking water facilities to all people of the state.
He directed the Drinking and Sanitation department to provide water through pipeline in villages, an official release quoted his as saying.
"Foundation stone for water project in Santhal Pargana region would be laid on April 20," Das said at a meeting here, adding that "clean drinking water will not only prevent disease but also control malnutrition in the state."

Das asked to prepare 'Mukhya Mantri Grameen Jalapurty Yojana' for Kolhan region so that foundation stone for projects could be laid.
Das said that pipeline work in Ranchi and Dhanbad would be completed by December and asked the officials to construct 60 water tanks in Ranchi.
Urban Development Minister C P Singh, Drinking and Sanitation Minister Chandraprakash Choudhary, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, CM's Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Drinking and Sanitation department Principal secretary A P Singh were among several officials present in the meeting.
