Government today said it has started a promotional campaign for the 'India Handloom' Brand aimed at fostering adoption handloom products, especially by the youth.
As part of the campaign, the brand India Handloom has entered social media.
"Updates relating to products under the brand, history of handlooms, unique features of handloom products from different parts of India, status of handloom sector in India and various government initiatives for promotion of the handloom sector will be shared regularly on the social media pages.

"This would educate customers and generate interest in authentic handloom products. Updates will also cover various events relating to handloom, organized across the country. Customer feedback would also be invited on social media. This would provide useful inputs for the promotion of the brand in particular and the handloom sector in general," Textile Ministry stated.
The India Handloom brand was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 7.
