A government school principal was tonight arrested for allegedly taking bribe from three schools for giving good marks to their students.
The accused Ramdev, principal of government school Beawar in Ajmer, was appointed as an external examiner of Physics (practical test) for two private and one government school in Kota.
He allegedly demanded Rs 30,000 from each school for giving good marks in examinations of class XIIth which began a couple of days back, and took Rs 64,500 in all from the schools, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials said.

On a tip-off, ACB sleuths tonight checked his vehicle when he was returning to Beawar and recovered the cash.
The principal could not explain the source of the money following which the money was seized and he was arrested, the ACB officials said.
