The authorities here today recommended suspension of a government school principal after an inquiry found irregularities on her part in mid-day meal scheme.

Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner (DC) Arun Sekhri recommended suspension of the principal of Government Senior Secondary School Jaswant Kaur at Sirhind near here after finding irregularities in the scheme, officials said.

In his letter to the Director General School Education, the DC said SDM-Fatehgarh had found the principal, who is also the school's managing committee chairperson, didn't sign any resolution with the school's stamp on them, they said.

The inquiry also revealed that signatures on resolutions were forged and fake bills were being filed, officials added.
