A Senior Assistant Clerk at the District Inspector of Schools office was caught accepting bribe from a manager of a school today, police said.
"He has been arrested and would be presented before the Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Act, Meerut tomorrow. Meanwhile, he has been lodged at the temporary jail of Mathura Kotwali," DSP, Vigilance, Agra Baldhari Singh said.
According to the police report, the Allahabad High Court had rejected the claim of Sushil Kumar and recognised Kanti Kumar, a resident of Surir, as the bona fide manager of Rashtriya Inter College, Surir.

"He then demanded Rs 10,000 more," the report said, adding that the complainant then contacted the Vigilance Department at Agra.
"After applying a powder on the currency notes, Kanti Kumar was sent to Ashok Kumar by a Vigilance team, led by DSP Singh," the report said.
The clerk was arrested by the Vigilance team, comprising five inspectors and three constables, the moment he accepted the money, in the presence of a number of people, it added.
His hands, when washed in water, turned red, the report stated.
