Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said his government was taking prompt decisions for the speedy development of the state and added that it had taken the state firmly on the path of progress in the last 11 months.

"The state government has implemented people's welfare schemes and policies, the benefit of which is reaching the people now...in the last 11 months, the present government has taken the state firmly on the path of progress," an official release quoted the chief minister as saying.

"It is because of the concerted efforts of the government that a conducive atmosphere has been created in the state...it is committed towards improving the living standard of the people...it is making serious efforts to propel the state among the leading states of the country," the release added.

The chief minister, who held a review meeting of the departmental targets here, asked the additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and other senior officials to visit the districts of which they have been made in-charges and hold a direct dialogue with the people to resolve their problems.

Asking the officials to also tour the tehsil and block headquarters and undertake a physical verification of the development works, Adityanath said he himself would take part in the "sampurna samadhan diwas".

Directing the officials to take pre-emptive steps in view of the approaching summers, when fire incidents routinely occur, he said relief and compensation should be extended to those affected within 12 hours.
