Admitting that some poor tribals have been booked for petty issues like collecting firewood, Jharkhand government today issued directions to authorities concerned to review such cases.

"You will see in many instances poor tribal people have been booked in connection with minor cases like collecting wood...," Raghubar Das, who was today sworn-in as the first non-tribal chief minister of Jharkhand, said at a press conference here.

"The Cabinet has decided to get a district-wise list of such people to review under what sections they have been booked so that the next step could be taken," Das said after chairing his first cabinet meeting.
