The Union Labour ministry was planning to scale up the training through ITIs and appropriate programs to meet its aim of providing jobs to about one crore people.
Union Labour Minister (independent charge) Bandaru Dattatreya today said his ministry wanted to enhance its training through ITIs and apprentice programmes to about 10 lakh people from the present 2.80 lakh.
It would like to scale up the training to about one crore people gradually so that they can get employment, he said here, after paying tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary.
