To resolve the issue, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit held a meeting of officials of ASI and Forest Department.

Officials said the Delhi government has now decided to write to Union Urban Development Ministry seeking its intervention to resolve the bottle-neck in regularisation of such colonies.

The Forest Department has raised objections about 157 colonies while the ASI has problems with 62 colonies as it is in the vicinity of centrally protected monuments.
