Congress today said that all political parties, barring the BJP, want a stop to the lynching incidents and accused the ruling party of trying to gain "political mileage" out of the issue.
Congress member K C Venugopal also accused the government of trying to "justify" such incidents, while referring to the debate on the issue in the Lok Sabha yesterday.
Participating in a discussion on the Supplementary Demands for Grants 2017-18 in the Lok Sabha, Venugopal said "the Prime Minister twice said it is condemnable... I heard speeches of all leaders. Except BJP, everybody said lynching should stop.
