Government agencies have procured 1.96 lakh tonnes of wheat in Haryana during the current procurement season so far.
Government agencies have purchased 1,96,381 tonnes of wheat whereas 24 tonnes of wheat have been purchased by private millers, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said today.
Food and Supplies Department has purchased 74,173 tonnes of wheat, HAFED 51,145 tonnes, Agro Industries Corporation 10,645 tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 19,440 tonnes, CONFED 8,204 tonnes and Food Corporation of India had purchased 32,774 tonnes of wheat.
District Kaithal is leading in the wheat arrival where 41,017 tonnes of wheat has arrived in mandis, followed by Faridabad with 21,921 tonnes.
