Union Minister Vijay Sampla today said the government is constructing a memorial worth Rs one crore in the memory of B R Ambedkar in New Delhi.
This memorial would be one of its kind and would be developed at the same piece of land where Ambedkar breathed his last in the national capital, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment said.
Sampla said an amount of Rs 100 crore would be spent for this purpose by the government and the foundation stone of this memorial would be laid by April next.

"It is only the BJP which has worked for the upliftment of Dalit's and downtrodden strata of the society," said the minister adding that their party's ideology is focused on work and not self glorification as done by some other political parties.
