Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said his government will safeguard the interest of state roadways employees while privatising the sector.
"The state requires at least ten thousand more buses and there is no other alternative except to privatise the roadways because government cannot purchase such a large number of buses," said Khattar.
He was asked about the ongoing dispute between roadways employees and private societies running private buses.

On the issue of school upgradations, Khattar said, ones which fulfil the requisite norms will be upgraded forthwith.
The government will recruit ten thousand more teachers to meet the requirement of upgraded schools, he said.
