To boost the start-up ecosystem, government today said it is streamlining procedures for grant of No Objection Certificate from various departments and working on an online system to help set up new ventures easily.
"Our priority is to streamline the procedure of establishing an enterprise and find an easy solution of all the obstacles coming in the way. A start-up entrepreneur needs easy credit on one hand while basic infrastructure is required on the other hand.
"NOCs are to be issued from different departments. We want to streamline this process of these facilities and online window system be developed through technology through which we can construct a conducive environment to establish an enterprise with minimum difficulties," Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said a press Conference here today to mark 100 days in office.
Elaborating on the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) Ministry's plans, Mishra said: "We are framing an MSME policy, based on best practices from different states and other countries. Our priority is to provide easy credit to MSMEs".
MSME sector contributes 8 per cent of GDP and accounts for around 40 per cent of the total exports and around 45 per cent of the manufacturing output.
As per the Fourth All India Census of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, total number of Enterprises of the MSME sector is 361.76 lakh of which 15.64 lakh are registered Enterprises. The sector provides employment to 805.24 lakh persons. MSME sector is the largest job provider after agriculture sector.
