Institute of Legislative Drafting and Research (ILDR) needs to work in such a way that its drafting cannot be challenged anywhere across the country, Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said today.

Inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations of ILDR here, the Minister lauded the institute's role and said its working on 24X7 basis was appreciable.

"This needs some favorable push," Gowda said, adding the demands of the institute will be considered.

ILDR drafts bills that are tabled in Parliament for making laws.

Gowda said in a democratic set up the delivery system and the legal system are interconnected and hence the drafting of appropriate laws attains importance and this task requires a kind of specialized skill.
