Grab 'master key to power': Mayawati to deprived sections

Buoyed by the recent panchayat polls victory, BSP chief Mayawati today asked the people of Uttar Pradesh, especially the deprived sections including poor among the upper castes, Dalits and religious minorities, to grab the "master key to power" by electing her party in the upcoming Assembly polls.

After drawing a blank in the Lok Sabha polls, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)-backed candidates got the most seats in the recently-concluded panchayat polls.

In a statement, the former chief minister wished the people on the eve of new year.

"People of Uttar Pradesh will have to take a decision on their political future in full seriousness and sincerity... they took a good initiative (in this regard) in the recent panchayat elections," she said.
 

The BSP chief said that she had full faith that people will take the right decision in the 2017 Assembly polls without falling prey into the allurements.

The BSP chief said,"People of the deprived sections including poor among the upper castes, Dalits, religious minorities specially Muslims will have to work hard and take a sensible decision for improving their lot by grabbing the master key to power.
